A Special story for Special New Balance Shoes
Oct 27th, 2008 by admin
It is always a proud moment for New Balance when they are mentioned as part of one’s goals and accomplishments. New Balance does not have alternate agendas like some shoe companies. They manufacture shoes and other products for the sole purpose of promoting healthy lifestyles for their customers. Please read the story below by LESLIE CRISS of the Daily Journal.
I have funny feet. They are small, but wide with a high instep. And I’m a supinator – when I walk I tend to put more pressure on the outer edges of my feet.
All these things have always made it difficult to find comfortable, good-fitting shoes. Until I discovered New Balance.
When my sister and I took a professional hiatus for two years to open a restaurant, New Balance were a saving grace for our poor, tired feet.
And when I started my Finding Fitness at 50 quest last December, I purchased a new pair of New Balance fitness shoes.
I have worked hard to lose more than 50 pounds, but I’ll happily give enormous credit to my shoes.
I had a little setback recently. I hit a plateau with my weight loss. Then last month I had a small gain, the first since December.
I’ve decided it was because I was without my favorite shoes for about a month.
The New Balance shoes I’d bought in January, began to tear up within three months of the purchase.
Now, I’ve got pairs of NB shoes I’ve had for years that are worn, but still in relatively good shape. So I was disappointed to have a pair that weren’t holding up.
I wrote the company and told them about the problem. They wrote back and told me to send my shoes to them and they’d assess the problem and get back to me.
A month later, a brand new pair of shoes arrived at my front door.
My funny feet are happy again. And when I checked in with my friend Leanne Davis at the Wellness Center on Thursday morning, I’d lost 7 1/2 pounds.
I’m counting on my New Balance blue and grays to be with me on my continuing fitness journey.
