The New Balance 1063 is the latest update to the 1060 series. The 1063 is an NBX shoe meaning that it is considered a high mileage, technical running shoe.
The New Balance 1063 is a neutral running shoe with a lot of cushioning and good arch support. A neutral running shoe is intended for someone with a “normal arch” or for someone that may supinate (roll out). If you pronate (roll in) or have a high instep or fallen arches a Stability shoe is what you would be looking for.
The 1063 has the new Abzorb DTS heel cushion technology from New Balance. The DTS system as a layer of Abzorb Cushion followed by a layer of Abzorb SBS cushion as well as a full length of Abzorb FL cushion. In the forefoot the 1063 has bottom loaded Abzorb SBS cushioning. For increased arch the shoe has N-Lock technology that increases arch as you tighten your laces. SureLace (bubble laces) technology keeps your shoes tied so that you do not have to stop mid run and keep tying your shoes, or using double and triple knots to keep your shoes tied during runs.
Being the top of its class in neutral running, the New Balance 1063 retails for $124.99.
