New Balance 927 | Update from the New Balance 926
Apr 8th, 2009 by admin
The New Balance 927 is here and it is a fabulous update. When the 925 was updated to the 926 it was met with very little criticism. Meaning 99% of the people loved the update and the improved and less bulking look. Realizing this, when New Balance updated the 926 to the new 927 they did very little as far as fit and function are concerned, leaving many customers still very satisfied. The subtle improvements are a decrease in overall weight, more breathability, and the addition of the Seamless Phantom Liner.
There are now a series of small breathable wholes in the upper near the forefoot to increase the breathability of the genuine leather upper. The Seamless Phantom Liner helps reduce the weight of the shoe, but enhances the level of comfort and overall feel of the shoe. This liner also has the New Balance technology called Lightning Dry. Lighting Dry allows for much quicker drying of any perspiration that may occur while wearing the shoes. Lastly the insole of the shoe has been treated with an Anti-Microbial application to reduce the possibility of odors.
The bottom line is that New Balance in now way altered the reliability, fit and comfort of the 927. The 960 series is the number one medical recommended shoe for foot problems such as Plantar Fasciitis, Heel Spurs, and Neuroma. With the SL-2 last, the 927 has a deep toe box, a higher arch and a wider forefoot, which is perfect for troubled feet.
